Arrazola Greenway

The Atxondo area has a beautiful greenway with fascinating traces of its mining past. This WebGL interactive experience for desktop and mobile highlights the site and uses a 3D satellite map to show where its most important landmarks once stood, reconstructing each one as a digital 3D diorama. It presents the vanished La Triunfante mine, the route taken by the “Aurrera” locomotive—now preserved at the Azpeitia museum—and Apatamonasterio station, which has since become a youth centre.
